Everyone knows that if you write and format a script, you do it in Courier. It's definitely the industry standard for both stage and screenwriting. But why?

Yep, you #FF0000 that right. I know, it #0000FF me away too.
In an earlier post, we discussed the use of mores and continueds in your script. If you plan to use them, here's how to type your script in Scrivener for correct formatting later in Final Draft.
Sometimes you write dialogue so good, that two characters need to say it at the same time. In your script, this is accomplished using dual dialogue. Here's how to format your double-speak in Scrivener, Final Draft, and other screenwriting software.
Hello, Character. It's me, your writer. First, let me say that your dialogue sounds snappy and authentic. Awesome. There are hundreds of stacks for Rapidweaver. They allow us to do an astounding array of cool things. There are so many talented developers, and the Realmac Add-Ons page does a pretty good job of showcasing them. But there's always more to discover.

Writers do a lot of getting ready to think about focusing on things. Anything that can help firewall our attention is appealing, and there are many concentration-enhancement apps. I'll be reviewing several for Mac and iOS in future posts. They're always fun to play with, but I'd like to share one that works for me: Ocean Waves, from Katsura Shareware.
A text expander will make your Mac life so much easier. And if you're coding, even more so much easier. aText is terrific, and it's a serious bargain. Curious? Allow me to expand on that.
